Mercer County uses NJEA PRIDE funds to support maternity nurses, new mothers

By Iris Tonti, Mercer County Retirees Education Association

The Mercer County Education Association completed a PRIDE event continuing our partnership with the Maternity, Nic Unit, Mother and Baby and the newer unit for expectant mothers with COVID-19.

During Read Across America we share Books for Babies. This time, we were able through a grant from NJEA to provide both the daytime and evening shift of nurses with a meal from Business Bistro to thanks then for their service.

Both the Hopewell campus of Capital Health and the Penn Medicine at Princeton were recipients. They were truly grateful and touched.
