Buena Regional EA uses NJEA Pride funds to support local food banks

By Melissa Tomlinson, Buena Regional Education Association

Through May and June, members of the Buena Regional Education Association (BREA) used NJEA PRIDE funds to donate food supplies to three community food pantries to help with food relief during the COVID-19 pandemic.

BREA PRIDE Co-chairs Kelly Bloomer and Melissa Tomlinson were joined by Patti Manera to donate food to the Buena Spanish Community Center, the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, and Abundant Living Church.

Thanks to the help of our NJEA PRIDE Coordinator Bob Antonelli, and with the help of Eric Jones, the BREA was able to reallocate $2,500 of PRIDE funds to benefit families in our school community!
