The New York Times offers students and teachers free access

High school teachers have a resource available to their students from the New York Times. The Times is working with Verizon to provide high schools with three free months of digital access from April 6 to July 6 — helping students stay connected to the world, even as they learn remotely.

Now more than ever with the rapid change of news, helping people understand the world has always been the cornerstone of great journalism, and The Times has been one of those stalwart icons in the media. This is an excellent opportunity for students and teachers to include The Times in their remote learning.

Students and teachers will have unlimited access to articles, videos and more on nytimes.com and in the New York Times app, as well as, lessons from The Learning Network  featuring articles, photos, podcasts and more. Once teachers have compiled a list of students’ emails, visit nytimes.com/initiative/highschoolaccess and click on the “Invite your students” link, directions will follow.
