Flemington-Raritan Education Association (FREA) members wanted their students to know how much they are loved and missed.
The end of the school year is such a special time. It’s not just graduation; it’s concerts, class trips, field day and so many other activities that students look forward to all year. Our students are missing all of that. They’re missing their friends, their routines, their whole way of life.
We wanted them to know that we’re thinking of them so with the help of an NJEA PRIDE grant, we ordered lawn signs in English and Spanish. Then FREA President Sue Vala and I placed them on school grounds and at other locations around the community.
Everywhere students and their families go around town, they see signs that they are not forgotten.
