Today. Today was one of those days. One of those days that you know you will remember forever.
Today, the Byram Township School staff went on parade through our district. Throughout the three hour journey, we were supported and escorted by the Byram Police Department as we traveled in and out of the numerous developments throughout the township.
We were greeted by our students and their families with smiles, waves, posters…and some tears. We were greeted by residents who do not have students in the district, but who simply seemed to enjoy the positivity that we brought with us.
It was an emotional experience for all of us, but in the best of ways. We needed this. We ALL needed this. Though we’ve all remained in contact through email and social media, we NEEDED that personal connection again. After all, that’s why we went into education in the first place!
I am so proud and blessed to be a part of this special community. I love you all. I miss you all. Stay safe and be well.
Until we “see” each other again my friends…
